Model Slaps Film Producer During Movie Premiere For Cheating Her, Video Goes Viral

The FIR was lodged on Thursday under sections pertaining to cheating. Gujjar’s legal representative stated that a separate complaint for physical assault would be filed.

Mumbai police have registered an FIR against Hindi film producer Karan Singh after model Ruchi Gujjar alleged he defrauded her of Rs 23 lakh. The incident came to light after a video surfaced online showing Gujjar slapping Singh at the premiere of the film 'So Long Valley' on Friday night.

Accusation Of Unfulfilled Promises

According to the police official from Oshiwara police station, Gujjar claimed that Singh had taken money from her under the guise of initiating a television film project. He allegedly promised her on-screen credit and a share in the project’s profits. However, the project never materialised, and the funds were not returned, Gujjar alleged.

The FIR was lodged on Thursday under sections pertaining to cheating. Gujjar’s legal representative stated that a separate complaint for physical assault would be filed at Amboli police station.

Co-Producer Calls Allegation A 'Publicity Stunt'

In response, 'So Long Valley' co-producer and director Man Singh dismissed the allegations, calling them a mere attempt at self-promotion. Singh asserted that Gujjar and Karan Singh were well acquainted and suggested the model lacked proof of any financial transaction.

Singh also revealed that Gujjar had sought a court injunction to block the film’s release, but the court allowed the release to proceed as scheduled.

“If she really paid Karan Singh for this film, let her show the proof. It’s just a publicity stunt,” said Man Singh.

'So Long Valley' is a Hindi crime thriller featuring actors Tridha Choudhury and Vikram Kochhar.
