Controversies favourite child Kamaal Rashid Khan aka KRK has once again landed himself in a legal soup as one of the most versatile actors Manoj Bajpayee has filed a criminal defamation complaint against the actor and self-proclaimed film critic at a court in Indore.
Manoj Bajpayee's lawyer said the actor personally appeared before the court to record his statement. He filed the criminal complaint under section 500 (punishment for defamation) of Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Following a derogatory tweet by KRK, Manoj Bajpayee has filed a criminal complaint in the court of judicial magistrate first class (JMFC) under IPC section 500 (punishment for defamation). The objectionable tweet in question was posted by KRK last month while speaking about the actor’s last OTT release ‘The Family Man 2’ and according to Bajpayee's lawyer, it defamed the 52-year-old actor and tarnished his reputation among fans.
This is not the first time when KRK has landed in a legal trouble; earlier Bollywood superstar Salman Khan too had filed a defamation complaint against Kamaal R Khan in May this year. The case was filed in a Mumbai court, after Kamaal R Khan reviewed Salman Khan starrer ‘Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai’. While KRK claimed the complaint was because he gave the film a bad review, Salman's legal team clarified that the defamation case was filed following KRK's personal attacks against Salman. Later, Salman won the case in a Mumbai civil court that passed restraining order against Kamaal R Khan from posting or publishing any defamatory content about Salman Khan.
KRK, who is a self-proclaimed film critic, is known for his controversial tweets while locking horns with many Bollywood celebs.
