Actor and singer Sofia Carson is in awe of BTS’ Jimin. The 31-year-old, who collaborated with him on Slow Dance from his 2024 album Muse, recently praised the K-pop star’s kindness and grace in an interview.

Sofia Carson praises BTS’ Jimin

In an interview with Hello! Magazine, Sofia Carson shared that the collaboration offer came in the most heartwarming way. She revealed that BTS' Jimin had watched her hit film ‘Purple Hearts’ and was impressed by her voice.  “Jimin watched Purple Hearts, true story. I was told that he loved the sound of my voice, and he thought it would be the perfect fit for him," she said.

Sofia Carson portrays Cassie Salazar, a waitress and musician who performs with her band, The Loyal, at a California bar. She crosses paths with US Marine Luke Morrow (Nicholas Galitzine), and the two enter a marriage of convenience to secure military benefits and pay off debts. In addition to starring in the film, Sofia co-wrote and performed all eight songs on the soundtrack alongside Grammy-nominated songwriter Justin Tranter.

Speaking about the experience of working with the K-pop idol, the actress said, “I know that Jimin is a very special person, and he has a beautiful heart, and they want to make sure that everyone that collaborates with him feels like they match him in that sense and I was so honoured when they told me that."

Sofia described the collaboration as “a beautiful experience,” revealing that BTS Jimin’s team flew her to Seoul to shoot the video together. She praised the K-pop star, calling him “the kindest heart” and expressing her gratitude for the opportunity.

When asked about the possibility of another collaboration with Jimin, Sofia played coy, saying, “We’ll see.” However, she shared her admiration for K-pop, applauding BLACKPINK and stating that she would love to work with any of its members, as she’s “super into what they are doing.”

On the professional front, Sofia has been named a 2025 Screen Actors Guild Awards ambassador alongside Noah Centineo, recognized for her positive influence and advocacy. She is also gearing up for the release of her upcoming film, ‘The Life List’.
