Koffee With Karan 7: Aamir Khan And Kareena Kapoor Steal The Show With Their Quirkiness

In their candid conversation with host Karan Johar, Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor stole the show with their quirky replies and some honest revelations.

New Delhi: Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan graced the couch on the latest episode of Karan Johar's celebrity chat show 'Koffee With Karan 7'. Rife with inside jokes, roasts and secrets from the lives of the charismatic stars, the episode unveiled why the 'Laal Singh Chaddha' actors are bona fide movie stars who make viewers fall in love with them over and over again.

In their candid conversation with host Karan Johar, Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor stole the show with their quirky replies and some honest revelations. The duo talked about their equation with their spouses, Aamir being clueless about 'thirsty photos' and his take on Ranveer Singh's nude photoshoot and much more.

When Karan Johar asked Kareena which Instagram account she checks out for 'thirsty photos', Aamir interrupted them and asked "What is a thirsty photo?" hearing which Karan and Bebo burst into laughter. The host then told the actor that it meant sexy photos. As Kareena replied to the question by taking Ranveer Singh's name, Karan asked Aamir if he had seen the actor's nude photos. Aamir answered, "Yes I have seen them. He's got a great physique. I thought it was quite bold of him."

Talking about the success of south Indian films at the box office lately, Karan said, "There's been so much success that some of the South Industry films have offered us in terms of 'Baahubali', then 'RRR', 'KGF', and 'Pushpa' and some of our films that haven't been working. Is there a shift that's happened in our movies recently in terms of like there's a tonality that 'KGF' has or 'Pushpa' has that actually Hindi cinema used to have. We actually let go of it and you're responsible for it."

Denying Karan's claim, Aamir said, "No you're wrong. Those were all heartland films. Those movies had emotions. They reach the common man. It's something that you will emotionally connect to. 'Rang De Basanti' is a very emotional film. It touches the people at grassroots."

He further added, "I am not saying make action films or crude films. Make good films with great stories but choose topics that are relevant to most people. Every filmmaker has the freedom to make what they want. But when you are picking something that the bulk of India is not really interested in... There are niche people who are interested, which most of us don't realise. That's what I feel is the difference."

Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor will be seen together in 'Laal Singh Chaddha'. The film is slated to hit theatres on August 11, 2022.
