Jobless People Showing Off Power: Actor Siddharth Claims Airport Security Personnel 'Harassed' His Parents
Actor Siddharth claims that CRPF members harassed his parents at the Madurai airport.
New Delhi: Actor Siddharth claimed on Tuesday that CRPF members had harassed his parents at the Madurai airport in Tamil Nadu. On his Instagram account, he even posted a photo of the supposed incident.
The actor stated that the airport security staff forced his parents to remove coins from their bags on Instagram Story. Siddharth added that despite being asked to speak in English, they insisted on speaking to them in Hindi on multiple times.
"Harassed for 20 mins @ Madurai airport by CRPF. They made my senior parents remove coins from their bags! And repeatedly talked to us in Hindi after being told to speak in English," Siddharth wrote on his Instagram Stories.
"Rude. When we protested they said in India this how it is. Jobless people showing off power," he further added.

Meanwhile, the Central Industrial Security Force, or CISF, is in charge of maintaining security at the airport in Madurai. But the actor levelled accusations against the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in an Instagram Story.
Additionally, the CISF staff removes coins as part of a security routine to remove any metal things that a person may be carrying while going through the metal detectors.
On the work front, Siddharth's most recent film appearance was in the 2021 theatrical release of the bilingual 'Maha Samudram' in Tamil and Telugu. Ajay Bhupathi helmed the romantic drama. Siddharth is now working on S Shankar's 'Indian 2' which is a sequel to Kamal Haasan-starring same-named blockbuster from 1996.Ulaganayagan will play the vigilante in the film who fights against corruption in society and Kajal Aggarwal will feature as the female lead in the upcoming film.
