Janhvi Kapoor Humorously Recreates Deepika Padukone's Scene From Om Shanti Om

Janhvi Kapoor imitates Deepika Padukone's sequence from her first movie as Om Shanti Om marks 15 years.

Janhvi Kapoor, who frequently posts amusing videos on social media, chose to mark the 15th anniversary of Om Shanti Om in a special way. Along with its impressive cast of actors, the romance drama has become notable for its dialogue. And Janhvi Kapoor hilariously reenacted one of the most famous scenes from the Deepika Padukone starrer.

The actor can be seen imitating Deepika while acting out a scene from the movie with her friend while dressed in a silver gown and standing under a chandelier.

Janhvi Kapoor recites lines spoken by Shanti Priya in the Farah Khan directorial film from 2007. "Isi jhoomar ke neeche, isi jhoomar ke neeche milegi Shanti ki laash," she says in the short clip. Then the camera pans out to her friend who is laughing while lying on the ground.

Recently, Om Shanti Om celebrated its fifteenth anniversary as a theatrical release. Deepika Padukone made her Bollywood debut with the movie as well.

In this romance drama, which is set in the 1970s, an aspiring actor named Om (played by Shah Rukh Khan) and a girl named Shanti Priya (played by Deepika Padukone) but both are instantly reincarnated into the present day. Om Shanti Om was one of the super-popular movies that came out in 2007 and made over Rs 108 crores at the box office.

Janhvi Kapoor, meantime, recently appeared in the movie Mili as a restaurant employee who unintentionally gets confined in a freezer. She will now be paired with Varun Dhawan in Nitesh Tiwari's Bawaal.
