Moviegoers will be able to enjoy a variety of genres, including fantasy, drama, romance, and humour, thanks to these adaptations of classic tales.

It Ends With Us

Release Date: August 9, 2024

Colleen Hoover's ‘It Ends With Us’ is a popular romantic comedy, and audiences can't wait to see this touching narrative brought to life onscreen. Blake Lively plays Lily Bloom, a character whose impromptu meeting with Justin Baldoni's doctor Ryle Kincaid sparks a passionate romance. When Lily investigates Ryle more, she finds parallels to the strained relationship between her own parents. After her first love, Atlas Corrigan (Brandon Sklenar) shows up, things become even more tricky for her. Fans are anticipating the film's premiere with great anticipation.

The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim

Release Date: December 2024

A new installment in the Lord of the Rings series, The War of the Rohirrim is the most recent adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's famous books. Based on a story from the novel's appendices, this animated prelude to a major film trilogy was released in 1954. Luke Pasqualino, Miranda Otto, and Brian Cox are all part of the voice cast. 

Harold and the Purple Crayon

Release Date: August 15, 2024

Harold and the Purple Crayon, a beloved children's book by Crockett Johnson, is adapted into a live-action family adventure/comedy film starring Zachary Levi. Actor Levi portrays an older Harold, who has the power to materialise his drawings. The risks of having an unbridled imagination become clear to him once he immerses himself in reality. Harold and his pals have a dual mission: to protect the actual world and the fantastical realm. 

Lil Rel Howery, Benjamin Bottani, Tanya Reynolds, Alfred Molina, and Zooey Deschanel are among the actors and actresses featured in the film, which was produced by John Davis and directed by Carlos Saldanha. 

Nightbitch

Release Date: December 6, 2024 

Starring Amy Adams, ‘Nightbitch’ is a hilarious movie based on the 2001 book by Rachel Yoder. A woman's daily life takes an unexpected turn in this humorous tale as she starts to wonder whether she is changing into a dog. Anne Carey, Christina Oh, Stacy O'Neil, and Sue Naegle are the producers, while Marielle Heller is the director. 

Wicked

Release Date: November 2024

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by Frank L. Baum is reimagined in Gregory Maguire's Wicked book trilogy. The film stars Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and Ariana Grande as Galinda, and it is directed by Jon M. Chu, who is famous for ‘Crazy Rich Asians’. The original concept was for a two-part film adaptation, with the first part set to premiere in November 2024.
