Dune Prophecy Teaser: Tabu's First Look As Sister Francesca Wins Hearts

New Delhi: Bollywood superstar Tabu's appearance in the second trailer for the highly awaited worldwide series ‘Dune: Prophecy’ has piqued the interest of Indian fans. Tabu, who plays Sister Francesca, wears a dramatic black costume and makes strong faces in the teaser. Tabu will co-star alongside an A-list cast that includes Travis Fimmel, Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Johdi May, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Mark Strong, Chloe Lea, Josh Heuston, and Jade Anouka in this production. 

Tabu's character Sister Francesca is an unforgettable character because she is powerful and bright. Production company representatives said, "Her return to the palace affects the balance of authority in the capital." 

After the second trailer of ‘Dune: Prophecy’ dropped, netizens started to express their reactions on many social media platforms. A fan wrote, "Indian Fans Assemble! So proud to see our very own Tabu ma’am in this acclaimed DUNE franchise," while another one exclaimed, "Tabu from bollywood? Woah." One user also said, "So great to see TABU, Proud. Can't wait to see this."

Among the famous performers who will appear with Tabu in the series are Olivia Williams, Josh Heuston, Chloe Lea, Emily Watson, Travis Fimmel, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Mark Strong, and Jade Anouka.

About ‘Dune: Prophecy’

HBO series ‘Dune: Prophecy’ is adapted from the book "Sisterhood of Dune" by Kevin J. Anderson and Brian Herbert, who is the son of Dune author Frank Herbert. The story takes place 10,000 years before the events of the current Dune movie. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show follows two sisters from the Harkonnen clan as they create the Bene Gesserit cult and fight against forces that threaten humanity's destiny.

Tabu’s upcoming film

Tabu, meanwhile, will be seen in Bollywood's ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum’, which will have her reunion with Ajay Devgn. The film, which spans the years 2000–2023, is an epic musical love drama directed by Neeraj Pandey. Among the films in which Tabu and Ajay Devgn have worked together before are ‘Vijaypath’, ‘Haqeeqat’, ‘Thakshak’, ‘Fitoor’, ‘Drishyam’, ‘Golmaal Again’, ‘De De Pyaar De’, ‘Drishyam 2’, and ‘Bholaa’. The release of their next film is scheduled for August 2nd.
