Let's take a look at some early ‘Dune 2’ reviews that have been doing the rounds on social media platforms like X.
New Delhi: 'Dune: Part Two' is catching all the attention ever since the film was finally unveiled at its grand premiere in London. From movie critics to people who have seen some six-minutes of the film, everyone seems to be praising the eagerly awaited follow-up for a number of reasons, including its amazing ensemble cast and stunning visual effects. According to reviews, the movie, which comes after 2021's 'Dune', is "masterful," "damn impressive," and has battle sequences that equal those in Peter Jackson's 'The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.'
The Hollywood SAG-Aftra strike caused significant delays for the much awaited sequel, ‘Dune: Part 2’. But at last, the movie is here, and it opened with a lavish premiere in which Zendaya looked stunning in a robotic costume. Hollywood Reporter claims that ‘Dune: Part Two’ picks off right where the previous part left off, with Timothée Chalamet's Paul Atreides teaming up with the Fremen to exact revenge on those accountable for his family's death, potentially determining the fate of the universe.

Dune: Part Two is damn impressive. Villeneuve crafts some truly VISIONARY moments. Austin Butler gives a truly transformative performance (and not talking makeup either). Very moving ending. A wee bit long? Yes. Did I forget I saw it the next day? Yes. Still, gonna be massive. pic.twitter.com/ARooLrTK8z

DUNE: PART TWO is a triumph. Even more immense than the first, but much more intimate — Denis Villeneuve manages to streamline the more alienating second half of the book into a riveting, action-packed epic. TWO TOWERS-level mastery of battle sequences. Zendaya is the star. pic.twitter.com/gUYD6g3onN

In a shock to no one, I absolutely loved #Dune2. Incredible filmmaking. Brilliant score. Entire cast was excellent. My only complaint was I wish it was longer. Not joking around. The movie is 2hr and 40 min(?) and I would have been happy to watch another hour. pic.twitter.com/6PZmfQTEAH

I was kind of mixed on the first Dune. DUNE: PART TWO is phenomenal. Up there with the greatest sci-fi movies I’ve ever seen. I want to ride a sandworm. #DunePartTwo

Both high art and an absolute blockbuster,
it might grant Denis Villeneuve the same massive following as Christopher Nolan.

At the global box office, the first 'Dune' film brought in little over $400 million. It was a financial success. With the movie's release coinciding with its Max streaming debut, 'Part Two' has much better box office possibilities. Villeneuve has also bragged that 'Part Two' is a superior film, which is quite an accomplishment given that the original film received positive reviews and ten Oscar nominations, including best picture. Six prizes were eventually won by it .
