Actor David Tennant hosted the ceremony, during which Bollywood star Deepika Padukone presented an award in the Best Film Not in the English Language category. Poor Things and Oppenheimer were the night's huge winners. This year, the Christopher Nolan film won up to seven accolades. Following suit with a total of five awards was Emma Stone's Poor Things. Emma Stone, who starred in the dark comedy Poor Things, won the Best Actress prize. For her performance in the 1970s-set comedy The Holdovers, actress Da'Vine Joy Randolph won the Best Supporting Actress prize.
