Ashton Kutcher And Mila Kunis Issue Apology For Supporting That '70s Show Co-star Danny Masterson After Rape Sentencing

Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis have expressed regret for voicing support for Danny Masterson, who has been found guilty of two counts of forced rape.

New Delhi: Celebrity couple Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis have expressed regret for voicing support for Danny Masterson, who has been found guilty of two counts of forced rape against two women and sentenced to 30 years to life in prison.

According to aceshowbiz.com, his former 'That '70s Show' co-stars have since apologised on social media for sending a letter of support. Ashton and Mila apologised for any harm their letters, which were made public on Friday, may have caused in a video they posted on Instagram on Sunday.

"We are aware of the pain that has been caused by the character letters that we wrote on behalf of Danny Masterson," Kutcher said in a video posted on Instagram.

"We support victims. We have done this historically through our work and will continue to do so in the future," Mila Kunis added.

After the actor was found guilty of the rapes in May, Ashton alleged Danny's family got in touch with them and wanted them to write character letters supporting "the person that we knew for 25 years."

"The letters were not written to question the legitimacy of the judicial system, or the validity of the jury's ruling," Kunis said.

Kutcher then added, "They were intended for the judge to read and not to undermine the testimony of the victims or re-traumatise them in any way. We would never want to do that, and we're sorry if that has taken place."

Danny co-starred on 'That '70s Show' from 1998 until 2006 alongside Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, and Topher Grace. He and Ashton got back together on the Netflix comedy 'The Ranch' in 2016, but the show was cancelled after the Los Angeles Police Department probe became official the following year.
