Falguni Pathak Hints At Not Liking Neha Kakkar's Recreation Of ‘Maine Payal Hai Chhankai’

Neha Kakkar recently released her new song O Sajna, which is a recreation of Falguni Pathak’s iconic ‘Maine Payal Hai Chhankai’ from the 90s.

New Delhi: Neha Kakkar recently released her new song O Sajna, which is a recreation of Falguni Pathak’s iconic ‘Maine Payal Hai Chhankai’ from the 90s. The singer has been trolled by the netizens ever since the track was released as they believe it has ruined the original and for most of them has spoiled the nostalgia of the good old days.

Now, it seems even singer Falguni Pathak is also not impressed with Neha Kakkar’s recreation of the song as she has been reposting reels and posts criticising the song thus raising the speculations that she also is on the same page with netizens on this.

The song 'O Sajna' was released on September 19. The hook line and music of the song are the same as the original but the rest of the lyrics are changed. The music video features Neha, Priyank Sharma and Dhanashree Verma.

Fans were quick to notice, Falguni sharing all the posts criticising the song on her Instagram stories. Out of all the posts she shared, few read, “Sorry to our childhood memories that are being ruined with this cringe.” Another read, “Band karo ye paap. Please someone ban these autotune singers and their remakes lol.” Another user wrote, “Thank you s***ing once again on one of my fave classics’, and ‘it cringes me watching O Sajna by Neha Kakkar.”

Speaking about recreating the song, Neha said: "I had a blast singing and filming the music video of 'O Sajna'. With the kind of response and love the young audience showered on the teaser yesterday at the college event, I'm overjoyed! It's fun, energetic, and vibrant and I'm confident people are going to love it.

Produced by T-Series, the song marks a collaboration of Neha Kakkar, composer Tanishk Bagchi, and lyricist Jaani.

Directed by Vijay Singh and curated and developed by Bosco Leslie Martis, the video showcases the fun and frolic moments of Neha and Dhanashree with Priyank, playing around with the very fact 'Why should boys have all the fun?'

The original song was released in 1999 featuring television actor Vivan Bhatena. Watch both the songs here:
