The curtains have officially come down on the shoot of 'Ramayana: Part 1', the much-talked-about mythological epic helmed by Nitesh Tiwari. As the film moves into post-production, a behind-the-scenes video from the final day of shooting has surfaced online, offering fans a glimpse of the emotional atmosphere on set.

Ranbir Bids an emotional farewell on last day of shoot

In the video now going viral, Ranbir Kapoor, who plays Lord Ram, is seen addressing the entire unit during the wrap ceremony. Surrounded by his co-stars and crew, Ranbir expressed his deep appreciation for the journey and said that playing Lord Ram was the most meaningful role of his life. He also acknowledged the efforts of his fellow cast members, including Sai Pallavi, Yash, and Ravi Dubey, for contributing to what he described as a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Ravi Dubey, who essays the role of Lakshman, is seen standing by Ranbir’s side during the heartfelt moment.

Celebrations on Ramayana set

Another video from the wrap day shows the team celebrating with a cake-cutting ceremony. Ranbir and Ravi can be seen sharing a warm camaraderie, captured in a touching hug that has resonated with fans. Director Nitesh Tiwari also took the mic to deliver an emotional message, which was met with cheers and applause from the team, bringing a sense of closure to a mammoth production schedule.

'Ramayana: Part 1' brings together a stellar lineup: Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as the formidable Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Kajal Aggarwal as Mandodari, and Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi. With Oscar-winning VFX giant DNEG onboard, the film promises a visual spectacle of epic proportions.

Slated to hit theatres in Diwali 2026, the film’s second part is expected to follow in Diwali 2027, making it one of the most ambitious cinematic sagas in Indian film history.
