The controversy erupted after the actor was seen wearing the limited-edition timepiece during promotions for his upcoming film, ‘Sikandar’.

The watch, featuring a gold dial and an orange strap, immediately caught public attention when Salman shared pictures of it on his official Instagram handle.

Maulana Razvi's Statement on Salman Khan's Watch

Addressing the issue on Friday, Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi stated that he had received inquiries regarding the Islamic ruling on Salman Khan’s actions. He urged the actor to refrain from engaging in activities that promote non-Islamic elements.

“I have been asked about Shariat’s ruling on Salman Khan wearing a Ram Edition watch designed for the promotion of the Ram Mandir. Wearing such a watch as a Muslim is illegal and haram,” Maulana Razvi was quoted as saying by news agency PTI.

The religious leader further emphasized that Salman Khan, being a prominent celebrity with a vast Muslim fan base, should avoid activities deemed un-Islamic.

“Salman Khan is a famous personality in India. He has millions of fans, and he is also a Muslim. If any Muslim, even if it is Salman Khan, is promoting the Ram Mandir or any other non-Muslim thing, it is considered illegal and haram. I urge Salman Khan to follow the principles of Shariat,” he remarked.
