She wrote, "I am starting my passionate relationship with singing this time with a piece composed in classical Hindustani style सबसे पहली पेशकश मैं शास्त्रीय sangeet ke इस Dadra से आरंभ करना चाहती हूँ। delhi घराने की परंपरा में अपने guru Prema Devi से ये bandish मैंने सीखी है। मैं समझती हूँ कि शास्त्रीय sangeet का gyan बहुत ही आवश्यक और उम्दा है। तानपुरा को हाथ में लिए Uske स्वर छेड़ते हुए sangeet ke riyaz करने की बात ही कुछ और है।"

She continued, "I am delighted that I could find this old recording of mine probably done around 1990 That was one of the most exciting years of my life when I was not only a performing artist in movies, but also on stage in the realm of classical dance. I always give Dance much higher preference in comparison with vocal music . But today I feel that after a certain age, it is hard to dance the way you could when you were young, but singing is something you can do for a much longer period of time. One bright example of that is our nightingale Lata Mangeshkar. उम्मीद karti हूँ आप सब को ये Dadra पसंद आएगी।"

Born on November 12, 1963, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, Meenakshi Seshadri began her journey in the film industry at a young age. She made her film debut in 1983 with the Tamil film 'Kalyana Agathigal', directed by K. Bhagyaraj. However, it was her Bollywood film 'Hero' in 1983 opposite Jackie Shroff, that brought her to the limelight. The film, directed by Subhash Ghai, showcased her talent and laid the foundation for her successful career in Hindi cinema.

Rise to Fame

Meenakshi's breakthrough role came in 1983 with the film 'Hero' followed by 'Swati' and then 'Shahenshah', starring Amitabh Bachchan. Her performance as a young and vibrant woman earned her widespread recognition. This was followed by a string of successful films, including 'Meri Jung' (1985), 'Ghayal' (1990), and 'Damini' (1993).
