New Delhi: Lata Mangeshkar is one of the best known singers of the Hindi film industry. She is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the most-recorded artist in the world.

She was born on September 28, 1929. 

Mangeshkar recorded songs in over thirty-six Indian languages primarily in Marathi, Hindi and Bengali and in some foreign languages as well.

She became the first Indian playback singer to perform at the Royal Albert Hall in London, England.

She appeared in the Guinness World Records as the most-recorded artist in history before being replaced by her sister, Asha Bhosle.

Mangeshkar won several awards and honors, including the Bharat Ratna (2001), India's highest civilian award, Padma Bhushan (1969),[189] Padma Vibhushan (1999), Dadasaheb Phalke Award (1989), 3 National Film Awards and 15 Bengal Film Journalists' Association Awards. She also won four Filmfare Best Female Playback Awards.

Fans still remember her and her songs, and the generations who grew up listening to her songs in the 70 and 80 regard her as one the greatest singers of all time.

1- "Lag Ja Gale" is a Hindi song from the 1964 Indian film "Woh Kaun Thi?" directed by Raj Khosla. 

The music for the song was composed by Madan Mohan and the lyrics were written by Raja Mehdi Ali Khan. The song was sung by the legendary Indian playback singer Lata Mangeshkar. The lyrics of Lag Ja Gale Hindi Song are filled with poignant emotions, and the melody is hauntingly beautiful.

 The use of orchestral arrangements, including the flute and violin, adds to the song's dreamy and enchanting atmosphere.

2- Yashoda ka Nandlala

Yashoda ka Nandlala (यशोदा का नंदलाला), is a popular Krishna Devotional Bhakti song from the movie, Sanjog. This song is sung by Lata Mangeshkar. It is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal and written by Anjaan. It is picturized on Jeetendra & Jayapradha. The song is popularly played on Krishna Janmashtami and as baby lori{lullaby}

3-Mere khwabon mai jo aaye


Mere Khwabon Mein Jo Aaye lyrics in Hindi from the movie Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, sung by Lata Mangeshkar. 
The song is written by Anand Bakshi and the music is composed by Jatin-Lalit. Starring Shahrukh Khan and Kajol in lead roles.

4- Humko humi se churalo


The Humko Humise Chura Lo lyrics from ‘Mohabbatein’, starring Shahrukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai in the lead roles. Directed by Aditya Chopra, the music has been composed by Jatin–Lalit, sung by Lata Mangeshkar.

 The lyrics of the song have been penned by Anand Bakshi. The film was released on October 27th, 2000.

5- Chanda h tu
