Koffee With Karan 8: Ranveer Singh Asks For 'Ek Chance' Amid The Criticism For Replacing Shah Rukh Khan In Don 3

New Delhi: The first episode of 'Koffee with Karan season 8' featured the Bollywood power couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. The eighth season of Koffee with Karan kicked off with a bang, featuring the dynamic power couple, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone as the first guests on Karan Johar's talk show. The rapid-fire round, known for its fiery questions, lived up to its reputation with Ranveer delivering a slew of interesting responses. Notably, he had a message for critics of his casting in Farhan Akhtar's much-anticipated project, 'Don 3'.
Ranveer is expected to take over for Shah Rukh Khan in the upcoming third installment of Don. However, the actor has been subjected to heavy criticism over the same when it was announced that Ranveer will be the new Don. Karan asked this question to Ranveer on KWK: “If you had to record an automated message for people who think you aren’t the right fit for Don 3, what would it be?”
Ranveer Singh, in response to critics of his casting as ‘Don’ in Don 3, shared his feelings during the rapid-fire round on ‘Koffee with Karan Season 8’. His justification for giving himself a chance was as follows: "Ek chance dedo, 12-13 saal me thik thak hi kaam kiya hai maine, toh ek mauka toh banta hai" (Give me one chance; I've done respectable work for the previous 12-13 years, so I deserve a chance).
The actor has already announced the project by posting many childhood photos of himself. He is shown with a rifle in one of the pictures. Along with the photos, he sent a lengthy letter in which he described how playing Don had always been a lifelong ambition of his.
