Khushi Kapoor On Her Nose Jobs And Lip Fillers: 'Calling Someone ‘Plastic’ Is Seen As Insult But...'

Khushi Kapoor, the daughter of the late Bollywood legend Sridevi, has never shied away from addressing her journey with cosmetic enhancements.

Khushi Kapoor, the daughter of the late Bollywood legend Sridevi, has never shied away from addressing her journey with cosmetic enhancements. Last year, she candidly admitted to undergoing procedures, including a nose job. The young actor remains unfazedby all the criticism coming her way and the term “plastic” used for her. In a recent interview, Khushi disclosed that she’d also undergone nano-blading for her eyebrows.

Khushi Kapoor on getting eyebrows nano-bladed

Speaking with Curly Tales, Khushi shared an amusing anecdote about her recent eyebrow procedure. When asked about the most bizarre thing on her phone, she revealed it was a funny photograph of herself. “I had gotten my eyebrows nano-bladed the other day. I have naturally very thick eyebrows, but I found some gaps in them, so I decided to get them filled in. For 10 days, you can’t get your eyebrows wet, so they give you a shield to wear while showering. It looks really funny,” she explained. “I took a close-up picture of myself in the shower wearing that shield and sent it to my friends without any context. They didn’t even question it because it’s so normal now.”

Khushi on openly discussing cosmetic surgeries

Khushi also addressed her decision to openly discuss her cosmetic surgeries, a topic often shrouded in stigma. “I don’t think it’s such a big deal. People fear the backlash that comes with admitting it, but there’s going to be criticism regardless. Calling someone ‘plastic’ is seen as an insult, but I don’t think it’s wrong to enhance yourself,” she remarked.

Highlighting the importance of transparency, Khushi criticised the unrealistic beauty standards perpetuated by those who deny undergoing enhancements. “The problem arises when people enhance themselves and claim, ‘I woke up like this, I’m completely natural.’ It’s unfair to younger girls who admire them. They end up thinking, ‘Why don’t I look like that?’ when, in reality, so much effort and resources go into achieving that look,” she elaborated. “There’s a team behind it, facials, skincare routines – so many things that not everyone is aware of.”

“You might as well be truthful because there will always be people who dislike you for one reason or another. I didn’t want my admission to become a headline moment. That’s why I casually replied to a random comment about it. It’s not something that should be sensationalized,” she said.

Khushi further shared her thoughts on avoiding speculation about her appearance. “For a while, I was scared. People were already accusing me of things I hadn’t done, so I wondered if admitting to the procedures I did have would make it worse. But in the end, it doesn’t matter. I’m still the same person,” she stated.
