Kartik Aaryan On Pressure To Look Young In Bollywood: 'Mujhe Cream Lagane Mein Bhi Dikkat Hoti ...'

In an interaction, Kartik spoke about his journey, walking out of 'Dostana 2', physical transformation for 'Chandu Champion', and the pressure to look young in an industry that values vanity.

New Delhi: Kartik Aaryan has begun promoting his upcoming film 'Chandu Champion'. Recently, in an interaction, Kartik spoke about his journey, walking out of 'Dostana 2', physical transformation for 'Chandu Champion', and the pressure to look young in an industry that values vanity. Talking about how quiet casual he is about skincare, Aaryan shared that he comes from a background where he has not paid much attention to his ‘twacha’( skin).

Kartik Aaryan on cosmetic procedures in the industry

In an interview with Lallantop, Kartik Aaryan was questioned about plastic surgeries and the pressure to remain young with the use of cosmetic procedures. To this, the ‘Chandu Champion’ said that while there is a particular thinking associated with vanity in the industry, for him that has never been the issue.

Saying that all his wrinkles are his and that he even has issues using a cream, Kartik said, “Mera aisa nahi hai, cream tak lagane mein dikkat hoti hai mujhe, badi ajeeb se aadatein hai. Main itna care nahi karta huin apni twacha ka."(I am not like that, I even have issues using creams. I have this peculiar habit but I don’t care much about my skin.)

Kartik Aaryan on pan bahar brand endorsements

When the ‘Punchama’ actor was interrupted to ask why he had done an advertisement for a cream, Aaryan shared that he had done something a long while ago but he stopped it knowing that it could be wrong. "Maine usko rok bhi dia, usko renew nahi karaya kyunki then I understood a point ki ye thoda sa galat ho sakta hai. Main khud in cheezein mein, kafi time se, inclination nahi gya kabhi, kyunki ye soch hoti hai logo ki, lekin meri ye soch nahi hai."( I stopped that ad campaign and did not renew it knowing that at some point this could go wrong. I myself, for a long time, have not had an inclination towards these things. Others may differ with me but this is what I think about this.)

When asked how he decides which cream or oil to endorse and if he has teams to decide which ad will go with his image, Kartik said, "Mere pas kafi dusre kisam ke ads bhi aye hai,jo maine mana bhi kiye hai, supari brands, pan masala and all, voh bhi kafi ate hai to main un cheezon se relate nahi kar pata. Ya, I try ki jitna mere hath mein rahe, main un cheezon ko mana karta rahuin."( I have been offered brand endorsements from brands like pan masala and all but Ihave refused to sponsor them because I do not relate to such stuff).
