Janhvi Kapoor Shares She 'Called Out' Paparazzi For Clicking Her From Behind: 'I Have The Right To Say'
Janhvi Kapoor, currently promoting her upcoming film 'Ulajh,' recently discussed paparazzi culture during an interview.
Janhvi Kapoor, currently promoting her upcoming film 'Ulajh,' recently discussed paparazzi culture during an interview on the latest episode of 'The Male Feminist' for Hauterrfly. She mentioned that the paparazzi have stopped taking pictures of her from behind after she requested them not to during the promotions of her previous film 'Mr. and Mrs. Mahi.'
What Janhvi said on paparazzi culture
In the interview, Janhvi expressed her thoughts on paparazzi culture, saying, "I think I said something while promoting 'Mahi,' like 'Please don't take pictures from the wrong angle,' and since then they've been like, 'No, no, we won't click from behind. Turn around!' Even if it's just a gesture, I really appreciate it."
She continued, "They often post 'Guess who this is' with a back shot, which gets the most clicks. So, of course, they would choose that, but I don't think that justifies their decisions. I have the right to say I don't like how I'm being portrayed, and I'm not comfortable with people seeing me that way. They have to listen to me because this is my decision and my choice."

Janhvi also mentioned that she wouldn't have expressed these feelings a few years ago, adding, "And how did I even say that... This is a trope that I think a lot of women use, and I've used it a lot. I want to state my point with love and casually because that's more palatable."
