Ibrahim Ali Khan Recounts Traumatic Night Of Saif Ali Khan’s Stabbing: 'Walked In With A Knife Stuck...'
Ibrahim Ali Khan, son of Saif Ali Khan, has shared his emotional account of the night his father was attacked with a knife at his Bandra home.

New Delhi: The tragic stabbing of actor Saif Ali Khan earlier this year sent shockwaves throughout the country. Now, Ibrahim Ali Khan, Saif's son, has opened up about the terrifying night that almost killed his father in an interview with GQ India.
In January, a thief named Mohd Shariful Islam Shehzad broke into Saif Ali Khan's Bandra home in Mumbai and stabbed him multiple times in the back before fleeing the scene. Due to the severity of his injuries, Saif had two operations, one of which included removing a piece of the blade from his spine.
Ibrahim found out about the incident three hours after it happened while doing a night shoot.
The 'Nadaaniyan' actor recalled, “I was shooting a night shift. He was stabbed around 2:30am and I was informed at 5:30am. I hadn’t slept that night and I rushed to see him. He had just come out of the ICU after surgery. He opened his eyes, spoke to Sara for a bit, and asked for me. I was so happy; I said, ‘I’m right here, dad.’ And then he said, “If you were there, you would’ve beaten that guy up.” That made me weep. I wish I had been there."
Ibrahim said he felt the intense emotional impact of the situation, stating, "At one point, when I heard he got stabbed, I started to think of the worst-case scenario. That’s a very scary feeling. And it was bad; it was very scary."
Clarification on Saif Ali Khan's Hospital Visit
In response to rumours circulating about the incident, Ibrahim stated that he didn't take Saif to the hospital. He said, “To everyone saying I drove him to the hospital with my baby brother, I would like to clarify that my dad walked into the hospital himself. He walked in with a knife stuck in him and said, ‘I need help.’”
After the terrible incident, Ibrahim and his father became closer, and he remarked, "I feel a lot closer to him now. If someone in your immediate family has a near-death experience, you don't take them for granted. You become more present in the relationship."
