The actor has lately said that he struggled with some of the more brutal moments in the series. The actor said that his approach to dealing with moral quandaries on set has changed over the years. He said, “Now, by way of my privilege, I suppose, it has increased. But I’ve always been a bit… And that’s probably why I’ve lost out on a lot of work. But those moral dilemmas happen.”
He remembered an event from the ‘Mirzapur’ set that had a deep impact on him. “On Mirzapur, there was a scene where I kill someone in what I thought at the time was a very unnecessary way to execute that scene. And I just couldn’t redeem myself. The character also could not have redeemed itself from that. I thought it was just wrong, like why would you write that?" the actor shared.
Additionally, the actor told how he used to have a hard time watching the show because of the graphic violence, but how he has now become desensitised to it.
