'Brahmastra': Fans Cheer For Shah Rukh Khan As Karan Johar Shares Clip Of 'Vanar Astra' In Action

Directed by Ayan Mukerji, 'Brahmastra' is a science-fiction trilogy that has been in the making for around five years.

New Delhi: The much-awaited film 'Brahmastra' is all set to hit the screens on September 9. While the countdown has already begun, the makers of the film are leaving no stone unturned to amp up audience's excitement about the same. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, 'Brahmastra' is a science-fiction trilogy that has been in the making for around five years.

On Thursday, filmmaker Karan Johar, who is producing the film under his banner Dharma Productions, released a clip that shows 'Vanar Astra' in action. Fans are going gaga as they believe that it is none other than Shah Rukh Khan in the action-packed avatar, who was earlier rumoured to be doing a cameo in the Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer.

The video shows a man jumping up in the air, doing a somersault and throwing a ball of fire at one of the antagonists, who goes crashing against a glass wall. Sharing the video clip on social media, Karan wrote, "The extraordinary power of Vānarāstra will unfold in just 8 days! 💥

As soon as the video clip was shared, netizens were quick to guess that it was none other than King Khan, whose leaked images from the sequence trended big time on social media, last month. While the sequence does not reveal the face of the character, fans drew similarities between the costume of the character in the video clip and the leaked images.

Earlier, Mouni Roy also revealed in an interview to an entertainment portal that SRK will be seen doing a cameo role in the film.

As much as the audience is excited to see Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt sharing screen space for the first time, they are equally excited to see SRK in the film.

According to reports, 'Brahmastra' is also the costliest film in the history of Hindi cinema, made on a budget of Rs 410 crore.

'Brahmastra' stars parents-to-be Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt along with Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Shah Rukh Khan. Mouni Roy will be seen essaying the role of the antagonist in the film.

It will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
