Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff who also is known as Jaggu Dada, celebrates his 64th birthday today. Jackie, who started his career with the film Hero, is a special name in Bollywood today. Jackie has seen many ups and downs in her career and overcoming all odds, he has ruled Bollywood for many years.

Jackie Shroff was born on 1 February 1967. He lived in a chawl in Mumbai's Teen Patti area belonging to a very poor family. It is said that Jackie had a very big heart, he has always helped the people of his chaul. And from there he was named Jaggu Dada. Everyone used to call him by the same name in Chawl. Due to poverty, Jackie left his studies after 11th class and started looking for a job. He was very fond of cooking, so he went to Taj Hotel for a job but he did not get any work there. 

After wandering for several days in search of a job, one day while Jackie was waiting for the bus at the bus stand, a man standing there looking at his height asked, 'Will you be interested in doing modeling?' And in response Jackie asked, ' Will you give money? Jaggu Dada's journey to become Jackie Shroff started from there. After many days of hard work, he got a chance to work in Subhash Ghai's film 'Hero'. And the film was a super-duper hit and Jackie became a superstar and the rest is history. 

In one of his interviews, Jackie had revealed many secrets related to his life, one of which was about his marriage. Jackie Shroff told that he and his wife Ayesha met for the first time in the bus and both had liked each other at first sight. Then a series of meetings went on for several days and then both got married. The special thing is that Ayesha was from a very royal family. But still she remained in Chawl after getting married to Jackie.

When Jackie Shroff's film Hero was a hit, many producers wanted him in his film. Even his first film being a blockbuster on the box-office, Jackie continued living in Chawl.

Jackie Shroff has given many hit films in his career. It includes Hero, Teri Meherbaniyan, Ram Lakhan, Khal Nayak, Dahleez, Allah Rakha, Sikka, Saudagar, Rangeela, Border, War, Yaadein, Hulchul.
