'Boycott Bollywood' Trends After Aryan Khan's Lawyer Satish Maneshinde Demands Fresh Probe In Rhea Chakraborty Case

Aryan Khan spent 27 days in jail. According to the NCB's Special Investigation Team, there was not a shred of evidence against him

New Delhi: Days after the Narcotics Control Bureau(NCB) gave a clean chit to Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan, his lawyer Satish Maneshinde sought a fresh probe into the all three cases registered by the NCB involving actress Rhea Chakraborty. Soon after the news became viral, Twitter went ablaze with 'Boycott Bollywood' trend.

The senior lawyer sought a similar enquiry into Rhea Chakraborty's drug case related to Sushant Singh Rajput's death, whom he had represented earlier.

Apparently, the NCB SIT found "grave irregularities'' in the probe, a News18 report suggested. It has also been suggested that the agency's team which arrested Aaryan Khan in the first place did not follow rules like mandatory medical test of the accused, video recording of the raids etc. The senior lawyer allegedly demanded an enquiry in Rhea's case on social media considering that no drugs were found on her or that no tests were also done.

Aryan Khan spent 27 days in jail. According to the NCB's Special Investigation Team, there was not a shred of evidence against him, reported TOI.

Aryan was taken into custody during the Cordelia cruise raids on October 2, 2021. He was given a clean chit by the NCB last week due to "lack of sufficient evidence".

Rhea Chakraborty, on the other hand, spent days in jail and was subjected to a social media trial after actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death in 2020.

Rajput's death had raised many questions and led inquiries that had CBI and NCB tackle the 'Bollywood drug nexus'. During these investigations, Rhea's name came up and she became a target due to her relation with Rajput, whom she had been dating when he was alive.

However, netizens and Twitterati are not happy with the decision of challenging Rhea Chakraborty's case. Many have been contributing to the 'Boycott Bollywood' trend and have also begun targetting Aamir Khan and Kareen Kapoor Khan's upcoming film 'Laal Singh Chaddha'. Twitterati is asking people on the microblogging site to boycott such films in the light of the current news.

Users are calling out Bollywood and Rhea Chakraborty as a 'gang' that should not be given a clean chit in Sushant Singh Rajput's case.
