Aryan Khan Drug Case: Arbaaz Merchant’s Father Worried About His Son’s Security In Jail
Aryan Khan and his friends Arbaaz Merchant along with five others were detained on October 2, and placed under arrest on October 3 after the NCB raided the luxury ship.
In a massive jolt to Aryan Khan and his friends Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha, a special NDPS court in Mumbai on Wednesday rejected the bail plea of all the accused in the drug case lodged by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in a case related to the raid on a rave party aboard a cruise ship on October 2.
And now Arbaaz Merchant’s father has reacted on his son’s security in the jail.
Arbaaz Merchant is lodged in a general barrack of Arthur Road Jail, he is under judicial custody along with Aryan Khan and other accused in a drugs raid case and his father Aslam Merchant is concerned about the safety and security of his son, Arbaaz.
In an exclusive interview with ETimes, Aslam said, “I wanted to speak to Arbaaz after the hearing and have been trying to get a chance to speak to him but to no avail. I also went to Khar police station which is near my house to register my phone number so that I get a chance to speak to my son, whose security is of big concern now because, as mentioned in the newspapers, he has been shifted to a general barrack of the jail.”
Merchant futher revealed that he spoke to his son last week for only three minutes. He said, “I really don’t know how my son is and I don’t know what is happening inside the jail. I don’t even know who is he staying with in the barrack and what kind of people are around him. Besides, when I did get a chance to speak on video call last week, for just three minutes, I could see the fright on his face. I could feel his voice choking when he pleaded to me, ‘Pappa get us out of here, were are innocent. His chocked voice and fright has scared me and I am worried about my son’s security.”
Merchant continued, “My child was asking for help and I as a father am in such a helpless condition. You can imagine the condition of Arbaaz’s mother, she started weeping after I informed her about the bail order. She is a Punjabi woman, who are tough and hot headed, but after what has happened to her child, she is totally shaken and has not been eating and sleeping properly and I am worried about her.”
Meanwhile, Arbaaz Merchant along with Aryan will be moving High Court on Thursday to mention the matter before Justice N.W. Sambre.
Aryan Khan, Merchant and Dhamecha, along with five others were detained on October 2, and placed under arrest on October 3 after the NCB raided the luxury ship preparing to sail on a Mumbai-Goa cruise.
The NDPS accused Aryan Khan of being a regular consumer of drugs, dealing in narcotics and the case having international links, etc as evident from his WhatsApp chats.
