Alia Bhatt To Recreate Sridevi's Iconic Look From Chandni in 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani': Report
'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani' was earlier supposed to be released around Valentine's Day 2023, but was delayed. The film will also star Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi.
New Delhi: Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh starrer 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani' is still in post-production. Recently, Karan Johar dropped a cryptic hint on shooting a romantic number for the film. Apparently, Alia Bhatt will be starring in the song from a look inspired by Sridevi's iconic style from the film 'Chandni'. Karan Johar apparently shared on Instagram, "shooting a song which is a homage to my favorite filmmaker of all times...Won't say any more....". The post is however no longer available.
As per ETimes, Karan Johar is planning to recreate an iconic look from his favourite filmmaker and mentor Yash Chopra's blockbuster film 'Chandni'. According to Bollywoodhungama, Alia will shoot a song wearing a Manish Malhotra saree similar to Sridevi's look from the film. Alia will also go minimalistic in the song and will be seen shaking a leg to a song composed by Pritam.
Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt also has ‘Heart Of Stone’ with Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan in the pipeline besides beginning shooting for Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Jee Le Zaraa’ along with Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra.
'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani' is Karan Johar's return to direction after a break of seven years. Karan Johar last directed 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in 2016.
