Adipurush OTT Release Date: Know When To Watch Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan Movie Online

After approximately two months since its cinematic release, 'Adipurush' arrived on OTT platforms on Friday, August 11

New Delhi: Prabhas starrer 'Adipurush' had made its theatrical debut on June 16. In the film, Prabhas essayed the role of Raghava, also known as Lord Rama, alongside Kriti Sanon as Janaki, or Sita, and Saif Ali Khan portraying Lankesh, or Ravana. The film, directed by Om Raut and inspired by the epic 'Ramayana', faced severe criticism for its visual effects, underdeveloped characters, and dialogues.

Now, after approximately two months since its cinematic release, 'Adipurush' arrived on OTT platforms on Friday, August 11, without much fanfare from the creators. Amazon Prime Video is streaming the film in four South Indian languages- Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada - while the Hindi version can be found on Netflix. However, in order to view the content on either of these streaming sites, a subscription is necessary.

The original production was crafted in Telugu and Hindi and later dubbed into other languages. 'Adipurush' received severe backlash for dialogues such as 'Marega Bete', 'Bua Ka Bagicha Hain Kya', and 'Jalegi Tere Baap Ki', and the makers of the film had to revamp them.

Additionally, the mythological spectacle, Adipurush, also featured Sunny Singh as Sesh, or Lakshmana, Devdatta Nage as Bajrang, also known as Lord Hanuman, Vatsal Sheth as Indrajit, or Meghnada, Sonal Chauhan as Mandodari, Siddhant Karnick as Vibhishana, Krishna Kotian as Dashratha, and Trupti Todarmal as Sarama, among others.

Crafted with a budget exceeding Rs 600 crore, this directorial project by Om Raut ranks among the most expensive ventures in the annals of Indian cinema. Notably, Adipurush marks Prabhas' third major disappointment in his career, following 'Saaho' and 'Radhe Shyam'.

Meanwhile, the renowned 'Baahubali' actor holds high hopes for redemption with his upcoming release, 'Salaar', set to premiere on September 28. On the other hand, Kriti Sanon has 'Ganapath: Part 1', where she will be playing the role of 'Jassi' and 'The Crew' in the pipeline.
