New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi's monthly radio talk 'Mann Ki Baat' will complete its 100th episode this month. Actors Aamir Khan and Raveena Tandon and sportspersons Deepa Malik and Nikhat Zareen, will participate in a national conclave on Wednesday.

"Since its inception on October 3, 2014, 'Mann ki Baat' has become a national tradition, with the Prime Minister addressing the nation every month, inspiring millions to participate in India's developmental journey. Since then, it has struck a chord with citizens of India who have reached out to their Pradhan Sevak every month, sharing their achievements, anxieties, happiness and proud moments as well as suggestions for a New India," ANI quoted BJP statement.

Talking about ‘Mann Ki Baat’ Aamir, in a statement to PTI, said, "It's a very important piece of communication that the leader of the country does with the people, discussing important issues, putting forward thoughts and giving suggestions. That is how you lead, with communication. You tell your people what you are looking at, how you are seeing the future, how you want their support. This is very important communication that happens in Mann Ki Baat," he added.

The event, organised by I&B Ministry will be attended by over 100 citizens from across the country. According to reports, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and MoS for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary will be present at the valedictory session.

A range of activities have been planned in the conclave, including thematic sessions, book releases and the unveiling of a postage stamp and coin.

Raveena Tandon, who will also be present for the conclave, was recently conferred with the Padma Shri , India's fourth-highest civilian award.

“It has been a year of awards for ‘KGF 2’ and ‘Aranyak’. But this (Padma Shri) was the best of all because this encapsulated my entire body of work. It encapsulates everything, the commercial successes, the songs that are so eternal that people remember,” Raveena had told PTI.
