Aamir Ali-Sanjeeda Shaikh Divorced After 9 Years Of Marriage, Actress Gets Daughter's Custody

Popular television actors Aamir Ali and Sanjeeda Shaikh have now got divorced after 9 years of marriage. The ex-couple had not been staying together for over an year now after having issues in their marriage. However, neither Aamir nor Sanjeeda have never addressed their split in public. The couple is parents to baby girl Ayra Ali and according to reports, the custody of their daughter has been given to Sanjeeda.

A source close to the couple told Hindustan Times, “It has been around nine months since the divorce papers came through. They have moved on in their respective lives. Both of them are extremely private, and thus didn’t wish to give out any official statement about the divorce.”

When contacted by the website, both Ali and Shaikh neither denied nor confirmed the divorce. While maintaining a “no comments” stance, Shaikh, however, mentions, “I just want to make my child proud.” On the other hand, Ali without revealing much, expresses, “I wish Sanjeeda all the happiness.”

Aamir Ali and Sanjeeda Shaikh tied the knot in 2012 after being in a long term relationship. The duo even participated in the third season of dancing reality show 'Nach Baliye' and were declared winners that year.

Reports about their marriage hitting a rough patch first hit the headlines in 2020. It was revealed that the couple has a one-year-old daughter, Ayra Ali, who was born through surrogacy.
