We will prove majority tomorrow claims Karnataka’s ‘new’ CM Yeddyurappa

B S Yeddyurappa who was sworn in as CM yesterday said ‘We will obey the Supreme Court order on floor test and will discuss with Chief secretary and call for assembly session tomorrow”

NEW DELHI: After the Supreme Court directed that a floor test is held in the Karnataka Assembly at 4 pm tomorrow to ascertain whether newly appointed BJP Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa enjoys the majority in the state, the newly elected CM said that he is 100% confident that we will prove full majority. He further added that ‘We will obey the Supreme Court order on floor test and will discuss with Chief secretary and call for assembly session tomorrow” The court also ordered that BS Yeddyurappa cannot take any policy decisions until tomorrow Previously, a specially constituted three-judge after more than three hours of the hearing made it clear that it was not interfering with the Governor's decision to invite BJP to form the government in the state. BS Yeddyurappa was sworn in Karnataka Chief Minister on Thursday. In the election, the JD-S had won 38 seats along with its ally BSP, while the Congress won 78 seats, the BJP emerged as the single-largest party winning 104 seats in the May 12 assembly election.
