UP Election 2022: Akhilesh Releases 'Samajwadi Vachan Patra' — Check These Big-Ticket Poll Promises

New Delhi: With days left for the much crucial Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections scheduled to begin from February 10, Samajwadi Party (SP) chief and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday released the party manifesto for the people of the poll-bound state.

While releasing Samajwadi Vachan Patra, Akhilesh promised to compensate sugarcane farmers in the state within 15 days if Samajwadi Party is voted to power. He also said that a corpus fund will be made, if needed, to pay such farmers.

The SP chief also said that a compensation of Rs 25 lakhs will be given to kin of farmers who lost their lives during farmers protests and a farmers' memorial will also be made in the state.

In a unique announcement, Akhilesh also said that one litre free petrol will be given to all two-wheeler holders in the state every month.

The manifesto, released by former UP CM, is called 'Samajwadi Vachan Patra' with the tag line--'Satya Vachan, atoot vaada'. 

While addressing a presser, Akhilesh also said in all farmers will be made 'debt free' in the next four years (by 2025) and a ‘krin mukti’ law will be made that would benefit most poor farmers.

Akhilesh Yadav assured that the minimum support price (MSP) will be given to farmers for all crops. He also said that all farmers will get free power for irrigation, interest-free loan, insurance, and pension arrangements will be made for them if his party is voted to power.

Furthermore, SP manifesto also promises introduction of an urban employment guarantee Act on the lines of MGNREGA and a 33 per cent reservation for women in government jobs, including in the police department.

SP chief also said that free education will be given to girls from primary classes till post-graduation along with a launch of ‘Kanya Vidhya Dhan’ scheme that will provide one-time payment of Rs 36,000 to girls who clear their Class 12 board exam.

Additionally, a Samajwadi Pension scheme will also be launched under which elderly people, especially women and families in the below poverty level (BPL) category will get Rs 18,000 person every year.
