'Politics Of Hate': Owaisi Attacks Shah As BJP Promises UCC, Ending 'Religion-Based' Quota In T'gana
Telangana will have Assembly elections on November 30, and the counting of ballots, along with four other poll-bound states, is set for December 3.
All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president Asaduddin Owaisi launched a scathing attack on Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday, saying the latter should give "tax rebates to the Hindu Undivided Family to everyone," news agency ANI reported. Speaking at a public rally at Malakpet Constituency, on Uniform Civil Code, AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi said: "Today Amit Shah is saying that BJP will remove the reservation for Muslims if given a chance. All Muslims do not get reservation, only the ones listed in the backward class get it. Amit Shah says that all Muslims get reservation to fill Hindus with hatred. Removal of reservation means depriving the backward and Pasmanda Muslims of employment opportunities."
Slamming saffron party, Owaisi stated: "This is the BJP's politics of hate. It is my message to all scheduled tribes of Telangana to boycott the BJP. They want to end your Tribal status. I want to ask Amit Shah to give tax rebates to the Hindu Undivided Family to everyone."

On BJP Election manifesto for Telangana Assembly Election 2023, BRS leader Putta Vishnuvardhan Reddy said: "It is either Amit Shah lying or the union ministers in the Parliament because it was the union minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on the floor of the Parliament who gave a statement that Telangana is the only state in the country that has successfully implemented supplying portable drinking water to all the households in the state. There is no other state in India which has accomplished this task."
He further stated: "Now if Amit Shah is unaware of these facts, he could go back to the parliament record and see if Telangana achieved what it promised before coming to power in 2014. The same case with funds. Telangana has the highest per capita income in the country. The well that has been created in Telangana, the GSDP grew by over 200% in the last 9.5 years... These numbers are published by the Reserve Bank of India.... So it's very evident that we've kept our promise and in fact, we exceeded the expectations. We emerged as the no. 1 state as far as water, power, and per capita consumption of power are concerned."
