Lok Sabha Polls: Celebrities Rajinikanth, Ajith & Political Leaders Cast Votes In Tamil Nadu

According to the data released by Election Commission, Tamil Nadu polled 12.55% votes for Lok Sabha elections 2024 at 9 AM.

Politicians from various parties, Lok Sabha candidates and celebrities cast their votes for Lok Sabha elections in Chennai on Friday. The prominent people including Rajinikanth, Ajith Kumar, Sivakarthikeyan cast their votes in Chennai. According to the data released by Election Commission at 9 AM, Tamil Nadu polled 12.55%  votes.

In Tamil Nadu, Chief Minister Stalin and Opposition leader Edappadi K Palaniswami exercised their voting rights in Chennai and Salem respectively on Friday morning. Both the leaders came along with their family members to perform their democratic duty. 

Actor and Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) leader Kamal Haasan exercised his voting right at a polling station in Koyambedu. DMK's incumbent Member of Parliament and Thoothukudi candidate Kanimozhi marked her ballot in Chennai. Similarly, the Tamil Nadu BJP chief and Coimbatore candidate Annamalai cast his vote in Theni.

Despite undergoing brain surgery, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev fulfilled his civic duty by voting in Coimbatore. Former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and Ramanathapuram Lok Sabha candidate Panneerselvam exercised his franchise in the Theni constituency.

Actor Rajinikanth cast his vote in Stella Maris College in Poes Garden. Actor Dhanush also cast his vote at a polling booth in Alwarpet.

In Thiruvanmiyur, actor Ajith Kumar participated in the electoral process by casting his vote. Actor Sivakarthikeyan also exercised his right. 

Amidst tight security measures, brisk polling is currently underway in Tamil Nadu for the 2024 general election. The electoral process, which commenced at 7 AM on Friday, is progressing rapidly in most of the 39 constituencies spread across the state.
