'Supriya Sule Took Credit For My Work': Maha Dy CM Ajit Pawar Attacks Cousin Amid Lok Sabha Polls

Lok Sabha Elections: Ajit Pawar said that all his work is being displayed in being Supriya Sule's campaign material.

Lok SabhaElections: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar slammed Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) leader Supriya Sule and claimed that she took credit for all the work done by him. Pawar further stated that all the work done by him is being displayed in Sule's campaign material.

Speaking at an event in Pune, the Maharashtra Deputy CM said, “My work is being displayed in Supriya Sule's campaign material. At this time, it seems that she has done all these things. I have built all the buildings in Baramati, but the pictures are published in her books. Supriya Sule is taking credit for my work."

Continuing his attack, Ajit Pawar asked Sule if she had done these things, then she should tell what she did in Bhor, Velha, and Mulshi. She can't just give speeches. He further stated that people will not be satisfied with mere speeches; she will have to work. "People will not be satisfied with mere speeches, she will have to work," Ajit Pawar said. He further stated, "Reservation in employment is being demanded for the youth of Bhor, Velha, and Mulshi taluka. I will do the development work for you, but for that, you have to press the button in front of the clock symbol.

In the ongoing Lok Sabha polls, Maharashtra's Baramati Lok Sabha seat is set to witness a contest between Supriya Sule and Sunetra Pawar, the wife of Ajit Pawar. Supriya Sule is her sister-in-law and the daughter of Nationalist Congress Party founder Sharad Pawar.

Speaking in Baramati on Saturday, the Maharashtra Deputy CM said that Lok Sabha polls will decide the future of the country. "This election is not about a village or about (familial) relations. This election will decide the future of the country," he said at a rally organised for Sunetra Pawar in Ambegaon, where his party functionaries from Bhor and Velha assembly segments were present, as quoted by news agency PTI.

"Show me open land and I will get a sports complex constructed there. Funds will be granted for the ropeway facility at Raigad fort. The demand to rename Vekha taluka as Raigad was fulfilled. I have worked hard for the Maratha community," the Deputy CM said. Those who won polls on the 'clock' symbol (of the undivided NCP) used to criticise Narendra Modi, whereas the ones who will win on the symbol this time will support the prime minister, Pawar said.

The NCP split in July last year after Ajit Pawar and eight MLAs joined the Eknath Shinde government. The Election Commission later gave the party name and 'clock' symbol to his faction while the one led by Sharad Pawar is called NCP(SP) and its symbol is 'man blowing turha'. "Think calmly about what work they did in the last 15 years and then vote," Pawar said in an apparent reference to Sule who is MP from Baramati since 2009.
