Congress Suspends Naresh Meena After He Files Nomination As Independent In Rajasthan's Deoli Uniara Seat

Naresh Meena filed his nomination after he was denied a ticket by the Congress, which instead chose KC Meena as its candidate in the by-polls.

The bypolls to the Deoli Uniara seat will be held on November 13.

The Congress unit in Rajasthan suspended party leader Naresh Meena for contesting as an independent candidate against the party's official nominee in the Deoli Uniara bypolls.

"Mr. Naresh Meena has been suspended from the Congress Party with immediate effect for contesting the bye-election as an independent candidate against the official candidate of Congress party from Deoli Uniara Assembly Constituency," a party statement said on Thursday.

Seven Assembly seats are going to polls in Rajasthan, including Jhunjhunu, Dausa, Deoli-Uniara, Khinvsar, Chorasi, Salumber and Ramgarh.
