'Modi Should Accept Freebies As God’s Prasad’: Kejriwal Slams BJP Manifesto, Claims Party Will Shut Mohalla Clinics
Kejriwal also took a jibe at JP Nadda, asking whether he sought PM Modi's approval before announcing freebies as the latter has slammed the AAP for it several times, calling it "free ki rewari".
After the Bharatiya Janata Party released its manifesto for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, Aam Aadmi Party supremo Arvind Kejriwal on Friday came down heavily at the BJP saying that it has "copied" the 'rewaris' promised by the AAP and that PM Modi should accept he was wrong to criticise the freebies as his party also announced a slew of them earlier today. He slammed the BJP for its manifesto, saying that he has never seen a party with a "vision shallower than this" and questioned why the people of Delhi should vote for it if they were going to continue with AAP's schemes.
The former Delhi CM also took a jibe at BJP chief JP Nadda, asking whether he sought PM Modi's approval before announcing several freebies as the latter has, on many occasions, slammed the AAP for it, calling it "free ki rewari".
"BJP President JP Nadda has announced several 'rewaris' (freebies) in their manifesto. My question is — did he seek PM Modi's approval for this? Because PM Modi has more than 100 times criticised me for offering free services, calling it 'free ki rewari’ and now BJP’s national president earlier today promised (the people of delhi) to distribute ‘rewaris’ like I do," he said.

Kejriwal further claimed that JP Nadda has announced closure of mohalla clinics if the BJP wins the Delhi polls and that he would ask the Delhiites if they want the clinics or not. "Nadda ji announced in the sankalp patra that mohalla clinics in Delhi will be shut down. I am pained. We will go across Delhi today and ask whether they want mohalla clinics or not. Those who are in favour of mohalla clinics, vote for AAP. Those who want mohalla clinics to be demolished, vote for BJP," he said.
On BJP's announcement to continue with the Delhi welfare schemes, Kejriwal questioned the need to bring in the BJP if it plans on continuing with the schemes offered by the AAP.
"Nadda ji has now said that all schemes of Kejriwal will be continued. He said this in their sankalp patra. PM Modi is saying the same in his ads...If they (BJP) have to do all of what Kejriwal does, why should the BJP be brought in? Kejriwal will do Kejriwal's work better because he knows it. Even the public is telling them that if you have to do Kejriwal's work then why should we bring you (BJP)?" he asked.
He further hit out at the BJP over its manifesto for Delhi, saying, "If I have to summarise their manifesto in one sentence, it is - what Kejriwal is doing is very good, BJP appreciates Kejriwal's work and if the people of Delhi give us an opportunity we will continue Kejriwal's work...They have no planning. They want to contest election on our manifesto, on our guarantees. What can be more unfortunate than this? Never in my life have I seen a party with a vision shallower than this. They have no ideas, no vision, no planning for Delhi."

He also referred to the gang wars in the national capital as he slamed the BJP for not mentioning even a single line about how it plans to improve the law and order situation in Delhi if voted to power. "The Sankalp Patra is false," Kejriwal asserted.
BJP chief JP Nadda released the BJP's three-part 'Sankalp Patra' on Friday, which he said was centred around women's welfare. The saffron party has promised financial assistance to women, senior citizens, and young mothers, besides subsidies on cylinders, among others.
Meanwhile, Congress leader Vinesh Phogat claimed that both AAP and BJP were "copy-pasting" Congress' poll promises.
