Ahead of assembly elections, Congress has sharpened its attack on the ruling BJP in MP. Party leader Digvijaya Singh has accused the state home minister of harassing people in Datia.

Madhya Pradesh ELections 2023: As the ground is being set for an electoral battle in the state of Madhya Pradesh later this year, prime rivals BJP and Congress have intensified their attacks on each other. Singh said people in Datia are angry and if one has to see the 'Aakrosh', they should come here.

"The public anger is very high in Datia. The state Home Minister (Narottam Mishra) has harassed every section of the society. The situation is not in favour of the BJP," he said while addressing a 'Jan Aakrosh Yatra'.

Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) on Monday announced its second list of candidates, which includes five Members of Parliament vying for seats in various constituencies. Ganesh Singh will contest from the Satna constituency and Riti Pathak, who hails from Sidhi, will be on the ballot. Rakesh Singh, who presently represents the Jabalpur West parliamentary constituency, has secured a spot in the second list as well.

Apart from these, Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Narendra Singh Tomar has been fielded from the Dimani seat. Pralhad Patel and Faggan Singh Kulaste have been nominated to represent the saffron party in a move to bolster its prospects in the electoral battle.
