Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated all of the BJP candidates nominated hours after the party revealed its first list of 195 candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections. He stated: "Our party has announced candidates for some of the seats and will be announcing the rest in the coming days."

According to the initial list, PM Modi would run for the Varanasi seat in the 2024 elections. Furthermore, the initial batch of 24 candidates for the Madhya Pradesh Lok Sabha Elections includes significant individuals like as ex-Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.

 The names of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, Minister of Women and Child Development Smriti Irani, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh appeared on the first list of candidates for the 2018 Lok Sabha elections. 

Meanwhile, AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal said talks on Lok Sabha candidates in Punjab are underway and it will be announced in the next 2-4 days.  

 
Kumar, emphasizing a level playing field for all political parties, reported the outcome of an important conference attended by seven significant parties: AAP, BJP, CPI(M), Indian National Congress, BSP, Samajwadi Party, and Apna Dal. 

Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar said, "Today we will brief you all on how we are preparing for Lok Sabha elections...The purpose is to make sure that polls will take place in a very transparent and fair manner. Every political party will have their level playing field, there will be no biases. Seven political parties came to meet us- AAP, BJP, CPI(M), INC and from regional parties- BSP, SP and Apna Dal. They all said and demanded that the high standards that have been established by the EC for elections need to be followed more strictly, police should be equal to everyone, in elections, money power and muscle power must not be used."

While meeting with reporters in Uttar Pradesh, Rajiv Kumar indicated that the number of first-time female voters is 7,26,000, adding that all types of amenities will be provided at each booth. He also stated that individuals above the age of 85 will be able to vote from their homes.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday slammed the government over the State Bank of India moving the Supreme Court seeking an extension of time to disclose electoral bond details, terming it a last-ditch attempt before the Lok Sabha polls to hide Prime Minister Narendra Modi's real face.

The State Bank of India (SBI) on Monday moved the Supreme Court seeking an extension of time till June 30 to disclose details of each electoral bond encashed by political parties. In its verdict last month, the top court directed the SBI to furnish the details to the poll panel by March 6.

In a post in Hindi on X, Gandhi said, Narendra Modi has put his entire force in order to hide the 'donation business'.
