Lok Sabha Polls Phase 4 Voting: The voting in the phase 4 of the ongoing Lok Sabha elections got underway on Monday. The polling is being held on 96 Parliamentary Constituencies across 10 States/UTs. Andhra Pradesh is among the states undergoing polling today. The state sends 25 MPs to the lower house.

The ongoing polls in the state are crucial as it sets the stage for a tough battle between the ruling YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) led by Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and a alliance of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the Jana Sena Party (JSP) led by TDP veteran and three-time Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.

In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the political landscape will be witnessing a change following the formation of the I.N.D.I.A bloc. The I.N.D.I.A bloc is a group of opposition parties formed to take on the Prime Minister Narendra Modi lead NDA alliance.

Vijayawada: Kesineni Srinivas Vs Kesineni Sivanath

As Andhra Pradesh goes to polls, the Vijayawada Parliamentary constituency is set to witness a fierce fight between brothers K Srinivas of Andhra Pradesh's ruling YSRCP and K Sivanath, candidate of the main opposition TDP. While Srinivas is a seasoned politician, a business tycoon-turned-politician, his younger brother Sivanath, who is also a businessman, is fighting his first elections.

Srinivas was a key TDP leader until some months ago, but he joined the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy-led YSRCP in January following friction with some party leaders at the local and state level.

Rajahmundry: Gidugu Rudra Raju Vs Guduri Srinivas

Rajahmundry Lok Sabha seat is one of the most crucial Lok Sabha seats in the state, as it is expected to witness a tough battle between Congress's Gidugu Rudra Raju and YSRCP's Guduri Srinivas. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the seat was bagged by the YSRCP. Margani Bharat secured 582024 votes and emerged victorious, while 460390 votes were polled in favour of Maganti Roopa of the TDP. 

Kurnool: BY Ramaiah vs Nagaraju Vs PG Ram Pullaiah Yadav 

The Kurnool Lok Sabha seat in Andhra Pradesh is set to witness a three-cornered battle in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. PG Ram Pullaiah Yadav (Indian National Congress), Basthipati Nagaraju (TDP), and BY Ramaiah (YSRCP) are standing against each other.

Tirupati: Maddila Gurumoorthy Vs Vara Prasad Rao Velagapalli Vs Chinta Mohan

Tirupati Lok Sabha constituency comprises seven assembly segments and belongs to Tirupati district. In the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, Varaprasad Rao (BJP), Dr. Chinta Mohan (Indian National Congress), and Maddila Gurumurthy (YSRCP) are standing against each other.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party candidate Balli Durga Prasad Rao won and became MP from this seat. He secured total 722877 votes. Telugu Desam candidate Panabaka Lakshmi stood second with total 494501 votes. She lost by 228376 votes.

Kadapa: YS Sharmila vs YS Avinash Reddy

The Kadapa Lok Sabha seat covers seven Assembly segments — Badvel (SC), Kadapa, Pulivendula, Kamalapuram, Jammalamadugu, Proddatur, and Mydukur. The constituency is crucial as it is associated with the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy. YSR represented Kadapa in the Lok Sabha multiple times before becoming the Chief Minister of the state.

The Kadapa Lok Sabha seat is set to witness a battle between incumbent YS Avinash Reddy of the YSRCP, YS Sharmila representing Congress, and Chadipiralla Bhupesh Subbarami Reddy from the TDP.
