Lok Sabha Election Repolling In Manipur
The Election Commission has nullified the Lok Sabha elections conducted in six polling stations within the Outer Manipur Parliamentary constituency as fresh polling takes place today. On Friday, polling took place at 848 polling stations across the remaining 13 Assembly segments under the Outer Manipur Parliamentary seat. These segments were part of the second phase, while voting for the initial 15 Assembly segments occurred on April 19 along with the Inner Manipur Lok Sabha seat.
Manipur's Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Pradeep Kumar Jha, referred to the Election Commission's directive, urging voters to turn out in large numbers for the fresh polling in these six stations on Tuesday, IANS reported. Officials cited various disturbances during the previous polling on Friday as the reason behind the Election Commission's decision to order fresh polling.
In the rest of the Outer Manipur Lok Sabha constituency, approximately 82 per cent of the around 4.85 lakh voters exercised their franchise on Friday. This constituency spans eight hilly districts, including Ukhrul, Kamjong, Tamenglong, Noney, Senapati, Jiribam, Pherzawl, and Tengnoupal.

They Are Trying To Fool Country In Name Of Constitution: PM Modi Veiled Dig At Congress In Telangana
Telangana: Addressing a public rally in Zahirabad, PM Narendra Modi says, "They are trying to fool the country in the name of the Constitution. The first constitutional amendment was made by the first Prime Minister which was to curtail free speech. They once again tried to censor the press freedom. They have nothing to do with the Constitution. The royal family is happy only when they are in power, but when anyone else is in power, everything feels useless to them. They are the people who stop the functioning of the Parliament, they question the Election Commission, they question the EVM, and now for their vote bank, they are insulting the constitution... Till the time I am alive, I will not let them give the reservation meant for Dalits, SCs, STs, and OBCs to the Muslims in the name of religion."
