The Congress will release its manifesto for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections on April 6 in Jaipur, the party's Rajasthan in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa said.
The Congress leader said that party president Mallikarjun Kharge and party leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi will release the poll manifesto during a public meeting in the Rajasthan capital.
Mallikarjun Kharge last week said that the draft manifesto carries the five 'guarantees' for justice which include: 'Bhagidari Nyay', 'Kisan Nyay', 'Nari Nyay', 'Shramik Nyay' and 'Yuva Nyay', listing five guarantees for each 'nyay'.
These five points have already been announced by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi.
Meanwhile, the BJP will contest 13 of the 14 Lok Sabha seats in Jharkhand while its ally AJSU party will field its candidate from Giridih parliamentary constituency, BJP national general secretary Arun Kumar announced.
"It has been decided that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will field its candidates in 13 Lok Sabha seats in Jharkhand and AJSU party on one parliamentary seat, Giridih, in the interest of the people of the state," Kumar said in a post on X.
The BJP also released its list of star campaigners for the Lok Sabha polls in Rajasthan. The list of 40 names includes Prime Minister Narendra Modi, 10 Union ministers, and the chief ministers of five states.
The Union ministers who would be campaigning in the desert state include Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari, Bhupendra Yadav, Arjun Ram Meghwal, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Kailash Choudhary.
The chief ministers of five states, including Rajasthan's Bhajanlal Sharma, will also campaign in support of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidates.
The names of Jhalawar MLA and former Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje and former MLAs Rajendra Rathore and Satish Poonia also feature in the list.
Lok Sabha elections will be held in seven phases across the country from April 19 to June 1. Results will be declared on June 3.
