The fourth phase of polling for Lok Sabha Elections is taking place across 10 States/UTs, engaging 96 Parliamentary Constituencies besides all 175 seats of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly and 28 seats of the Odisha Legislative Assembly. To augment voter turnout, polling time extensions are granted in specific assembly segments of 17 Parliamentary Constituencies in Telangana.

Over 17.7 crore voters are expected to exercise their franchise across 1.92 lakh polling stations in this phase.

Special provisions cater to elderly and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) voters, including home voting options. Vigilance measures entail the deployment of Observers and surveillance teams to uphold electoral integrity.

The Election Commission of India (ECI) highlights the substantial number of registered 85+ years old and PwD voters, totaling over 12.49 lakh and 19.99 lakh, respectively, who are facilitated with the option to vote from home.

In its efforts to combat inducement tactics, the ECI has mobilised 4661 Flying Squads, 4438 Static Surveillance Teams, 1710 Video Surveillance Teams, and 934 Video Viewing Teams to monitor and swiftly address any irregularities.

The culmination of the electoral process, marked by the counting of votes for all phases scheduled on June 4, will unveil the Union leadership for the next five years.
