From veteran Malayalam actors Mohanlal, Mammootty, Tovino Thomas to Tamil star Ajith were among the many South celebrities stepped out to cast their votes as the third phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2019 kicked off on Tuesday. Mohanlal who arrived early to cast his vote at a school in Thiruvananthapuram was thronged by people at the polling booth. After voting, Mohanlal shared a pic of his inked finger on social media, encouraging fans to cast their vote. Other Malayalam actors Tovino Thomas and Unni Mukundan also shared their pics showing the ink mark on their finger after voting. Another actor who joined the bandwagon of actors who have cast their vote is Mugdha Godse. The Fashion actor tweeted, “And we did it…#vote #LokSabhaEelctions2019.” Malayalam filmstar Aju Varghese also posted a selfie on his social media account, proudly showing off his inked finger and also urging people to exercise their right to vote. "Voting is not just our Right, It’s our Responsibility..", read his tweet. Tamil star Thala Ajith and his wife Shalini also stepped out to cast their vote. However, it turned up to be a huge mess outside polling booth when the duo skipped queue during the Lok Sabha Elections in Tamil Nadu. A video of the couple stepping out after voting amid huge chaos is going viral on social media. Voting began at 7 am on Tuesday as 116 constituencies across 15 states and union territories go to polls in the third and largest phase of Lok Sabha elections.
