With the curtains drawn on voting and the exit polls announced on June 1, the country now awaits the announcement of the Lok Sabha elections results, which is scheduled to be announced on June 4.
After the voting concluded in the seventh and final phase of the Lok Sabha elections, the exit polls were released by various media houses on Saturday evening. Although the figures varied, but most of them projected a historic third consecutive term for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
As per the ABP-Cvoter survey results, the NDA is projected to secure 353-383 seats in the Lok Sabha Elections 2024. The I.N.D.I.A. bloc, on the other hand, is projected to win 152-182 seats, dashing its hopes since the NDA showcased a clear victory leaving the opposition allaince trailing far behind.
An average of ten exit polls suggested that the NDA will bag over 350 seats, while the opposition alliance will settle around 145 seats.
According to the exit poll projections, the BJP swept Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, and Chattisgarh among other states.
The I.N.D.I.A bloc is likely to win in southern states including Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Punjab. The other states that witnessed a tough fight between the BJP and the opposition included Maharashtra, West Bengal, and Haryana.
The leaders of the opposition bloc also held a meeting in New Delhi to take stock of their preparations regarding the June 4 counting. The I.N.D.I.A bloc also asserted that it will win more than 295 seats, which will lead them to form the next government in India.
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge said on Saturday that the I.N.D.I.A bloc has arrived at the 295-plus figure, a figure he said was dedecued based on people's feedback, which he termed people's survey.
The Congress chief also said the leaders of the alliance have been instructed to not leave the counting halls till all formalities are completed.

Congress Calls I.N.D.I.A Alliance Leaders To Delhi For Post-Election Meet
According to Congress sources, all senior leaders of the I.N.D.I.A alliance have been called to stay in Delhi until tomorrow night or the day after tomorrow morning. West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has also shown support for this decision. Following the election results, a meeting will be convened to assess the outcome. If the number of seats does not align with expectations, various options will be considered, including demonstrations, press conferences, or a meeting with the President, where concerns about the Election Commission's role can be raised, reported ANI.
