'Large scale bogus voting at Tughlakabad Extension polling booth', alleges AAP's South Delhi candidate Raghav Chaddha

BJP's Ramesh Bidhuri, who is the sitting MP from the constituency, is seeking re-election from South Delhi. Bidhuri is pitted against AAP's Raghav Chaddha and boxer Vijender Singh, who has been fielded by the Congress.

New Delhi:  AAP’s South Delhi candidate Raghav Chaddha on Sunday alleged that bogus voting was being conducted in a “large scale” at one of the polling booths in Tughlakabad Extension here. In a tweet, Chaddha alleged “police and election officers were facilitating it.” He said AAP volunteers have “uncovered the fraud” and were reaching the spot. "BJP workers are moving around in a polling booth in Sangam Vihar in BJP scarves, a person voted 4 times. We identified 8-10 such people and caught one red handed. Ramesh Bidhuri(BJP candidate) is losing badly so is indulging in such tactics," Chaddha told news agency ANI outside the booth. The massive comes after reports emerged of EVM glitches at certain polling stations. The Aam Aadmi Party had earlier claimed there were several instances of faulty electronic voting machines in Goa during polling for the third phase of Lok Sabha elections on April 23. New Delhi, home to many VVIP voters, recorded 34.48 per cent polling till 1 pm on Sunday, officials told news agency PTI. Over 1.43 crore people in Delhi are eligible to vote in this election, which will decide the fate of 164 candidates, of which 18 are women. There are 43 independent candidates. BJP's Ramesh Bidhuri, who is the sitting MP from the constituency, is seeking re-election from South Delhi. Bidhuri is pitted against AAP's Raghav Chaddha and boxer Vijender Singh, who has been fielded by the Congress. Voting began this morning at 7 and is scheduled to go on till 6 pm.
