Jammu Kashmir Election Results: PDP's Iltija Mufti Concedes Defeat From Srigufwara-Bijbehara Seat
PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti conceded defeat in the Bijbehara assembly seat, accepting the people's verdict and expressing gratitude to party workers.
People's Democratic Party leader and candidate from Bijbehara assembly seat, Iltija Mehbooba Mufti conceded defeat on Tuesday after trailing from the seat.
Mufti said she accepted the verdict of the people and expressed gratitude to the party workers.
"I accept the verdict of the people. The love & affection I received from everyone in Bijbehara will always stay with me. Gratitude to my PDP workers who worked so hard throughout this campaign," she said in a post on X.

Jammu Kashmir National Conference candidate Bashir Ahmad Shah Veeri was leading from the seat as 10 of 12 rounds of counting were completed at the time of writing this report. Veeri was leading by a vote margin of 7,004 garnering 27,927 while Mufti got 20,923.
