Haryana CM Slams Cong For 'Misleading' People, Says 'Governor Needs In Writing' As Oppn Demands Floor Test

Congress and JJP have claimed that the Nayab Saini-led government is now in "minority" and have demanded a floor test and fresh elections under President's rule in Haryana.

With the opposition in Haryana demanding a floor test, claiming that the Nayab Saini-led government has toppled due to minority, following the withdrawl of three independent legislators' support, Chief Minister Nayab Saini commented on the matter saying that the governor has asked the opposition leaders to give in writing that they want a floor test since the government got the vote of confidence just a month ago.

The Haryana CM added that it is just Congress's way of misleading people and that "they have always said such things to deviate people as they are left nowhere, since people don't trust them due to their corrupt policies."

Criticising Congress over their "false claims" and "misleading" people, Nayab Saini said: "They say PM Modi will end Constitution if voted to power for the third time...PM Modi has run the government according to the Constitution, showing respect to Dr BR Ambedkar who gave us the Constituition...Rahul Gandhi says lies if you vote him he will completely eradicate poverty...How will he do this?...His grandmother had claimed to end poverty back in 1970...Ask him to tell the nation was it done?...Stop misleading the people..."

Meanwhile, Congress through a memorandum on May 10, asked the Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya to dismiss the current "minority" BJP government in the state and initiate fresh polling under the supervision of the President's rule. It also sought time from the Governor for a meeting with a party delegation.

Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) leader Dushyant Chautala also wrote to the Haryana Governor saying that the saffron party no longer commanded a majority in the state, and  urged for an immediate floor test.

Stressing that the saffron party workers will work towards bringing PM Modi to power for the third time, Saini stated: "Our party workers will meet every person by going door-to-door to help PM Modi become the PM for the third term with huge majority... When Narendra Modi became the PM, if he sent Rs 1 from Delhi, the double-engine govt made it Rs 1.25 which benefits the people."

Claiming that Congress will be wiped out in the Lok Sabha elections, the Haryana CM said: "PM Modi has abrogated Article 370 and built a grand Ram temple in Ayodhya, and a lot has been done in these 10 years... The people are enthusiastic about what PM Modi has done in 10 years, Congress won't be left anywhere in the country..."
