Haryana Political Crisis: Will Back Congress To Topple Saini Govt, Says Dushyant Chautala
JJP chief Dushyant Chautala said his party will support the Congress from outside if it brings a no-confidence motion against ruling BJP government in the Haryana Assembly.
Jannayak Janata Party chief Dushyant Chautala said on Wednesday that his party will think about giving support to Congress from outside if the grand old party takes steps to corner the current BJP government in Haryana. A new political crisis unfolded in Haryana after three Independent MLAs withdrew their support to the ruling BJP in Haryana on Tuesday and announced that they would back the Congress.
"We never faced such a situation when we were in Govt with Manohar Lal Khattar that someone was withdrawing their support. Them (independent MLAs) joining Congress today shows how the BJP has weakened," Chautala said while speaking to reporters in Hisar.
He said that if a no-confidence motion is brought in the Assembly, they will vote against the Saini government.

"I want to tell Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda that going by the present numbers in the Assembly, when this government is in a minority if a step is taken that this government is brought down during (Lok Sabha) elections, then we will fully consider to support them in this from outside," he said.
"Now, the Congress has to think whether they will take a step to bring down the BJP government," Chautala said.
Reacting to the announcement, Hooda said, "They should write to the Governor (that government is in a minority)".
Meanwhile, the ruling BJP government in the state said it was in a comfortable position as Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini asserted that his government was in no trouble.
His predecessor and party colleague Manohar Lal Khattar claimed that many MLAs are in touch with the BJP and that there is "nothing to worry about".
