The Arvind Kejriwal-led party ended the supsense over the alliance in the state after it released first list of candidates on Monday with September 12 deadline for nomination approaching close. The decision came after prolonged talks between Congress and Aam Aadmi Party yielded no result. As per reports, Aam Aadmi Party demanded 10 of 90 assembly seats under a seat sharing formula but the Congress was ready to give only seven seats.
Earlier in the day, party's state unit chief Sushil Gupta said they waited till an appropriate time for the Congress.
"We waited till an appropriate time (for the Congress). We will issue the second list today. The AAP will fight on 90 seats with full strength. We have only one aim to uproot the corrupt BJP government," he told PTI.
He also accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of turning Haryana into a crime capital saying: "Unemployment is highest in Haryana and people have made up their mind for change. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is Haryana's son."
